about us

Welcome to Mortram's Moggies home cat care and pet sitting services. My name is Zoe Mortram and as a pet owner myself, I understand that our furry companions prefer to be within their own environment, which is usually in their own home. Mortram's Moggies wants you and your moggie to be happy so I have created a service that ensures a positive experience.

Zoe Mortram - owner

I have over 15 years of Veterinary Nurse training and experience. I can administer oral medications where required and also cater for animals with specific medical conditions such as diabetes requiring more intensive monitoring and care.  This ensures that you have peace of mind whilst I am caring for your beloved family member from a highly trained experienced background as if they were my own!  Both you and your pet are guaranteed the highest level of care when using my service.

Hayley mortram – sister

Hayley a huge animal lover like myself, who has always had a great interest and fondness for animals of all shapes and sizes. She has grown up with hamsters, gerbils, rabbits, cats and dogs. In her spare time she is extremely happy to help Mortram’s Moggies and particularly enjoys housesitting. She also likes to go hiking to experience scenic views on her travels.

Imogen Gooding – Registered Veterinary Nurse

Imogen and I have worked together for the past 15 years, She is a highly qualified Veterinary Nurse with over 30 years experience which ensures my clients a continuous high level of care should I not be able to visit. She shares her home with Ginny the amazing Labrador and two cats, Mark and Leah. Imogen is also an assistant Scout leader at her local church. In her spare time, Imogen enjoys catching up with friends and enjoys long walks with Ginny.

Caroline Fossey – Volunteer at The Celia Hammond Trust

There have always been cats in Caroline’s life and after 16 years she took voluntary redundancy from her job on a national newspaper and started working as a volunteer at the Celia Hammond Trust in New Cross where she cleans cages, feeds and plays with nervous/timid cats. She finds it very rewarding, especially when the cats start to relax and become more friendlier as this helps them with finding a home. She has also adopted two cats from the rescue centre and has looked after neighbour’s cats whilst they have been away, she was responsible for administering tablets as the cat’s both had medical conditions which required daily medication and monitoring.

Our Services

DAILY CHECK-IN

Are you going on holiday? Do you hate the idea of sending your beloved puss to a cattery? Or maybe they require a daily medication due to a chronic health problem…

As Veterinary nurses, we specialise in pets with health problems which means we can monitor for any issues, administer injections/medications and react a lot faster to change than an untrained person.

Cats are very territorial animals who are very attached to their own home environment, this way your cat gets to relax in their own home without the stress of going into a cattery. Which guarantees a worry free holiday for you and your cat.

House Sitting

If you are wanting a reliable honest and trustworthy person to take care of your property as well as your pet whilst you are away then a live-in pet sitter is a great choice.

This service is ideal if you have a elderly or sick pet, an animal that requires medication or a multi pet household.

A live-in pet sitter is great for those who simply want the added security of someone staying in their own home whilst they're away. So you can enjoy your holiday knowing your pet and property are in safe hands.

general pet care

We can make sure your pet stays up to date with their monthly flea and worming treatments whilst you are away. We are more than happy to apply the flea product provided by your Veterinary surgeon so you can go away knowing their preventative treatments are being kept up to date which ensures a worry free trip.

Worming our pets can be very challenging which often leads to our beloved pet becoming stressed or anxious which is something we would like to avoid before setting off into the sunset. Luckily we have quite a lot of practice administering tablets to our not so cooperative patients. We can make sure it is administered in the correct way which means avoiding those stressful situations for you and your pet.

nail clipping

Sometimes our beloved pets nails get too long and need trimming. Elderly pets who may not go out as much regularly need this done. We are more than happy to do this for you in the comfort of their own home which ensures no more stressful journeys to the vets.

Grooming

Why not let us pamper your pet within their own home whilst you are away…

This service includes :

  • Removing knots, mats and dead hair from their coat

  • Cleaning ears

  • Trimming nails

  • Looking fabulously amazing whilst receiving lots of attention

We are also able to recommend professional grooming services within the South London area so please enquire for a list of recommendations.

We can also give you a list of recommended products that we have used on your pet which enables you to continue a grooming regime at home so your furry friend stays knot free.

A clean pet is a happy pet.

happy customers

The highest standards... The happiest customers... Hear what our clients are saying about Mortram's Moggies. Below are just a few testimonials of our happy cats that we’ve been looking after over the years and will continue to do so.

Our boy Boris is a shy lad. In fact he is petrified of most people. But he just loves Zoe because she takes such good care of him when we are away. Zoe texts me each time she visits and sends me pictures of him so I know he’s OK. Thank goodness we found her, it means we can go away without worrying which means a lot!
— Polly Deadman

We discovered Zoe through our local vets and she’s been a god send! She has been brilliant at looking after Rosie whilst we’ve been away and I always feel at ease knowing she’s popping in every day to check on her, and the house. Nothing’s too much trouble and she’s even watered our plants so that they’re also cared for. I highly recommend Mortram’s Moggies!
— Gedi Campbell
Etta Emtri (Sashi).jpg
Zoe has been looking after my cat Sashi for quite a few years now and I can only say positive things about her service. Zoe and her staff have a very good approach with cats, and they care about the animal investing a great deal of time and effort into their cat sitting. Zoe particularly, as the boss, is incredibly reliable and accommodating and goes the extra mile when her clients need her. I am truly overjoyed to have met her and to have her and her team looking after my Sashi. And Sashi loves Zoe, when she comes in, he jumps down from his condo and is purring away. Thank you so much Zoe and team for all your hard work and for the love you give to our beloved pets. Highly recommended!
— Etta Ermini
Simon Ward (Scampi).jpg
Zoe is the pair of safe hands our nervous, shy and rebellious cat Scampi needs whenever we’re away. She always goes above and beyond (even managing to track him down in the neighbourhood when a visitor accidentally let him out). Have no hesitation in recommending Zoe and her services.
— Simon Ward
Zoe and Imogen looked after our cat Tilly during half-term. We needed the reassurance of veterinary experience as Tilly had been hit by a car and was recovering from her leg being operated on. As it turned out, the help was invaluable and a couple of vet visits were made. Thanks for your help and Tilly is now recovering well!
— Daniel Allum

I’m feel completely at ease when Zoe is looking after my cat Mittens. She keeps me updated without me even asking and I can see the affection Zoe has for her. What’s more I come back to a very happy cat every time! Xx
— Anna Cooper
Gilly Keats (Guinness).jpg
We’ve been using Zoe for over a year for our cat Guinness and couldn’t be happier with the service. She is efficient, responds quickly to booking enquiries, and we really appreciate the messages every time she or a member of her team visits. Guinness is a rescue cat and lives indoors permanently due to an illness, so we were quite nervous about leaving him with someone new when we go away. We needn’t have worried as it’s now such a wonderful piece of mind knowing that he is well looked after in great hands.
— Gilly Keat
Kit Hue (Fei fei).jpg
Zoe has been cat sitting Feifei for a couple of years now. Always a top-notch experience. Especially after we moved to a new house, Feifei wasn’t quite settled in, so in the end we had Zoe, or one of her team members, house-sit for us as well. It is such a relief to know that Feifei (and our home) is in good hands when we are away. We’re grateful to have found Zoe through our local vet. Whenever we’re away we know our precious old girl and our home will be taken care of by someone who’s kind, caring and trustworthy.
— Kit Hue
Missy.jpg
Zoe has taken fantastic care of my cat Missy for a number of years now. It’s been hugely reassuring having an experienced veterinary nurse looking after them, especially when they’ve been ill. It means I’ve been able to leave them knowing they will be in great hands, and I don’t have to worry. Very happy to recommend Zoe’s services as a cat sitter.
— Martha Henson
Monkey.jpg
I would not hesitate to highly recommend Zoe and her team at Mortram’s Moggies. I can be away from home with work for days, even weeks, sometimes at very short notice. Zoe has always been there to provide professional care and excellent communication while I am away. It gives me such great peace of mind that my pet ‘Monkey’ is being so well looked after and cared for.
— Alan Boyd
We have been using Mortram’s Moggies for our two cats Roly & Teasel from when they were kittens which is almost two years now. Zoe and her team do a fantastic job of looking after our cats whenever we are away - they provide excellent care and are always very accommodating with any requests we might have. We get daily updates and always return to two very happy, content and well-groomed cats.
— Charlotte
Catherine Seith (Duffy).jpg
Having Zoe and her team look after Duffy while we are away is a great comfort to us. Duffy is a very social cat and enjoys being around loving people, and we always feel confident that she is being well looked after. Zoe’s qualification as a veterinary nurse also give us great comfort that Duffy will be in safe hands if anything were to ever go wrong. We would highly recommend Zoe and her team!
